Effective date: August 9, 2026
The short version: We use information to answer you, provide and improve our services, keep accounts secure and meet our legal obligations. We do not currently sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
1. Who this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how SimpliSmart (“SimpliSmart,” “we,” “us” or “our”) handles information through simplismartpros.com, My SimpliSmart accounts, service-area checks, booking and contact forms, and the technology services we provide. It applies to homeowners, residents, property teams, very small businesses and other site visitors.
2. Information we may collect
- Contact and account details, such as your name, email address, telephone number, billing or service address and account login information.
- Booking, order and service details, including the help you request, appointment preferences, service history, property access notes and communications with us.
- Device and property information you choose to provide so we can prepare for or complete a service, such as device type, network setup, serial number, photos or screenshots. Please do not send passwords through ordinary forms or email.
- Payment and transaction information. If online payments are enabled, payment-card details will be handled by the payment provider shown at checkout; we generally receive confirmation and limited transaction details rather than the full card number.
- Website and technical information, such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested, referring page, timestamps and security logs.
- Service-area information. The ZIP code checker uses the ZIP you enter to return an availability result. SimpliSmart does not intentionally save that ZIP through the lookup itself, although a request may appear in routine hosting or security logs.
3. How we use information
We may use information to:
- respond to questions and confirm whether service is available;
- prepare quotes, schedule visits, provide services and support, and maintain service records;
- create and secure My SimpliSmart accounts and process orders or payments;
- send appointment, account, safety and service communications;
- prevent fraud, misuse and security incidents;
- improve our website, services and customer experience; and
- comply with law, resolve disputes and enforce agreements.
If we send promotional email or text messages, we will do so with any consent required by law and will provide a way to opt out. Service messages may still be necessary for an active appointment or account.
4. When we share information
We may share only what is reasonably needed with:
- employees and authorized service professionals helping with your request;
- hosting, website, account, communications, scheduling, security and future payment providers working for us under appropriate obligations;
- a property manager, property owner or business customer when they arranged or are responsible for the service and are authorized to receive the information;
- government authorities, courts or others when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety or security; and
- a successor in a merger, financing, reorganization or sale of all or part of the business, subject to applicable law.
We do not currently sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising or run advertising pixels on this site. If that changes, we will update this policy and provide any choices required by law before using the information that way.
5. Cookies and similar technology
We currently use essential technologies for site security, accounts, shopping-cart and checkout functions, and remembering whether you dismissed our cookie notice. Our Cookie Policy explains these technologies and your browser controls.
6. Retention
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including providing service, maintaining business and tax records, resolving disputes, preventing fraud and meeting legal obligations. Different records have different retention periods. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer reasonably needed, subject to backups and legal holds.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the information and our operations. No website, transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Use a unique password for My SimpliSmart and tell us promptly if you believe your account or information has been compromised.
8. Your choices and privacy requests
You may update certain account details in My SimpliSmart. You may also ask to access, correct or delete information, or ask a privacy question, through our Contact page. We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting. We will honor rights that apply to you and may retain information when law allows or requires it. You may use an authorized agent where applicable, but we may request proof of authorization.
9. Children
Our website and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information online. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided information should contact us so we can review and, when appropriate, delete it.
10. Third-party services and links
Our site may link to or work with third-party products and services, such as device manufacturers, maps, payment services or social platforms. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices. SimpliSmart is not responsible for a third party’s independent practices.
11. United States processing
SimpliSmart operates in the United States. If you access the site from elsewhere, information may be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. We will post the updated version here and, when appropriate, provide an additional notice. For privacy questions or requests, use the Contact page and identify your message as a privacy request.
